During laparoscopy, the fallopian tubes, ovaries and the outside of the uterus can be examined in detail via the abdominal cavity and changes such as endometriosis foci, adhesions and fibroids can be diagnosed and removed.
Laparoscopy is a surgical treatment in which, under general anesthesia, a tiny camera attached to a tube (laparoscope) is inserted into the abdomen via a very small incision (about 5-10 mm) under the navel. For better visibility, the abdominal cavity is inflated with gas. As an invasive procedure, laparoscopy has a low risk of bleeding, minor injuries and anesthesia problems, but it is generally a low-risk procedure.
If you need a laparoscopy, we will contact your gynecologist who will perform the procedure. If your gynaecologist does not perform this procedure, you will be referred to our specialist for treatment.
